Massacre at Minab: How Donald Trump Turned a Girls' School Into a Mass Gravesite

Donald Trump’s Iran war opened with U.S. cruise missiles slamming into the Shajareh Tayyebeh primary-school complex in Minab. The building became a graveyard for children, teachers, and parents who had come to collect them.

A Drop Site News investigation documented at least 156 identified dead after the February 28 strike: 120 children and 26 teachers. The BBC reported that the Minab prosecutor’s office confirmed 156 deaths, including 120 children.

The U.S. did not merely hit a neighboring site. Forensic Architecture reconstructed the campus, found a roughly five-meter impact crater in the school assembly hall, and reported that munitions analysts identified a Tomahawk missile in video from the scene. It also found the building had operated as a school for years.

Trump initially suggested, without evidence, that Iran might have attacked the school. Reuters reported that preliminary Pentagon findings indicated U.S. forces were likely responsible and may have relied on outdated targeting data. The Pentagon elevated the matter to a formal 15-6 investigation. Its final findings have not been released.

U.N. experts demanded an independent inquiry days after the strike. The children of Minab never received the protection Washington claims its precision weapons deliver.
