NEW data analysis has confirmed what we first heard of a few years ago from investigators like Joanne Nova – the Bureau of Meteorology has been falsifying historic weather data, apparently to fit the official Canberra “global warming/climate change” narrative.
The Australian environmental editor, Graham Lloyd, recently reported that a forensic audit had found copied and pasted temperature readings, statistically impossible data sequences and 110 years of one-way warming adjustments.
“An audit of BOM’s raw data, which it claims represents what was originally written down, has found big problems,” he says in a video report.
“Large blocks of temperatures have been copied and pasted from one year into another, sometimes 40 years apart. In other cases records have been cut and pasted into different months, which is not how the weather works.”
Lloyd says the Australian has seen the audit and matched it against hand-written records that are still held in national archives. Those written records do not match what BOM has put online.
“BOM admits there is a problem, but does not explain how this occurred or what can be done to fix it.”
Jo Nova, a long-time campaigner for honesty in historical weather records, has also taken up story up in her blog.
“Everyone knows the BOM publishes adjusted formally “corrected” datasets, and we have debated the many versions of ACORN adjustments and homogenization many times, but if the guardians of the raw data are presenting mistaken or altered data as though it was the original recordings, that crosses a new line.
“Significantly these strange duplications were not corrected in any version of the expert corrections. They were spread across the whole country, and many were even in the modern era, not just among the old digitized records copied from handwritten notes.
“As the two auditors say: “None of these findings require any knowledge of climate science – they are purely data integrity failures that would disqualify any dataset in any other field of science.”
Nova says this error-prone data is being fed into climate models that farmers (used to) rely on, and town planners, health officials and insurers are trying to use.
“We’re betting the economy and transforming our energy grid on this data. We’ll spend a trillion dollars killing off coal but we won’t audit the original data? “
