Thursday June 11 “Last month, I directed our Great U.S. Military to execute a secret mission to support Oil Tankers and other Commercial Ships through the Strait of Hormuz. Today, I am pleased to announce that this effort has resulted in more than 100 MILLION Barrels of Oil making its way through the Strait, and into the Open Market. More than 200 Commercial Ships have safely traveled through the Strait. This wildly successful effort is because the UNITED STATES of AMERICA CONTROLS the Strait of Hormuz — NOT Iran. Their military is defeated, and their economy is lost. It’s over for Iran! Thank you for your attention to this matter.” posted President DONALD J. TRUMP
A growing number of ships are escaping the Strait of Hormuz using a risky route close to Oman’s coastline that shipping executives have warned could result in a collision. About 15 ships per day are going in and out via the Omani route, protected by US air cover, according to two people with knowledge of the transits, who said most of them were oil tankers. Two more confirmed the practice of using the route with US assistance.
June 11 (Reuters) – Iran’s top joint military command announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday, including oil tankers and commercial ships, saying any vessel that will attempt passage will be shot at.
Tel Aviv Benjamin Netanyahu will seek re-election this year, his party announced on Wednesday, after U.S. President Donald Trump said he wasn’t sure if the Israeli prime minister would stand again.
In a brief statement, Netanyahu’s Likud Party said he would run in the election and, God willing, he would win. The election has not yet been formally announced but must be held by October.
