BRITISH expatriate and Mackay MP Nigel Dalton has spoken with national anti-abortion campaigner Dr Joanna Howe about his decsion to cross the floor in support of Rob Katter’s attempt to open debate on Premier David Crisafulli’s unlawful ban on abortion debates.

Dalton, who says he first became an opponent of abortion in the UK some 30 years ago, admitted to voting for the abortion vote ban but said his chance to redeem himself “in the eyes of the public but also in the eyes of God” came when Rob Katter announced he would again defy the debate ban.

Dr Howe paid special tribute to Mr Katter after his address to the crowd at the pro-life demonstration outside the Queensland Parliament on Monday. “By the time MP Robbie Katter sat down, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house,” she posted on X.

She also condemned the LNP government for getting TikTok to take down pictures of baby Samuel, the 16-week-old foetus aborted alive in Townsville hospital and left to die on a sanitary cloth.

Dr Howe says the number of live-birth abortions has tripled in Queensland since the previous Labor government introduced late-term abortion laws. She says Premier Crisafulli is a dictator and needs to go.
