SHE calls herself an “Independent” but Federal MP for Indi, Helen Haines, walks, talks and quacks like a Teal duck.
“If you live in the area of Indi we would love your help we need to remove this Teal from parliament! This is a country seat and we want your help,” Nathan Scott of Echuca posted on Facebook.
Scott posted a list of complaints against Haines under the name of his group Voices of the Riverina, an advocacy group for the people of the Riverina region that runs along the Murray River on Victoria’s border with NSW and encompasses the seat of Indi.
Scott also posted a list of complaints against Haines, who in recent years made quite a song and dance over her alleged “independent” politics.
“Helen Haines is loyal to her climate fanatics and inner-city bureaucrat mates – not loyal to the people of Indi,” the list begins.
- Haines actively campaigns to bring more refugees into an already stressed housing market.
- Voted for a new ‘ute tax’ along with the greens (not a smart move in a country electorate)
- Actively campaigned for the Yes campaign in The Voice Referendum contrary to the 70% of Indi people who voted no.
- Actively campaigns for more renewables (wind farms, solar farms and batteries) on currently productive farm land, taking family livelihoods from local communities.
- Campaigned for a new hospital in Wodonga for six years and achieved nothing.
- Favours flushing Murray River flows out to sea at the expense of food producing industries.
Scott believes Haines is the only country MP to have voted with Labor, the Greens and Teals. Sounds like the people of Indi have a very legitimate gripe against their turncoat “Independent”.
Haines is a leading climate clown, pushing for a target of 50% renewable energy by 2030 and was one of seven “independent candidates” in the election to sign a joint agreement to cooperate on “climate action” in the new parliament.
She also joined the Australia-wide gaggle of economic illiterates in their decade-long campaign against the Adani coal mine in Queensland. Needless to say, the climate did not respond one iota to the “climate action” by Haines and her delusional green comrades.
