KATHRYN Krick is not a widely familiar name, but one that is becoming more so for all the wrong reasons – especially her “mentor”, a Tanzanian “prophet” named GeorDavie,
“Apostle” Krick has held international gatherings in London, Cape Town, Manila,Sao Paulo and Paris. Her Revival Is Now events were held in Melbourne and Sydney in 2023 and the Flourish Conference in Sydney in February last year. These events attracted thousands, but the circumstances around her rise to prominence have raised serious questions.
Krick was catapaulted into the world of “prophetic ministry” by GeorDavie who has been accused of multiple instances of sexual assault and improper advances made on women visiting his cult headquarters in Tanzania.
GeorDavie is driven around the country, one of the world’s poorest, in limousines and welcolmed with red carpets and swooning cult followers. He lives in a modernist-style multi-storey, glass-covered mansion, and dons a crown and robes on his special “kingly nights”.
Krick, who calls GeorDavie “Daddy”, has rejected the cult label and claims her ministry “focuses on Jesus Christ, deliverance from spiritual oppression, and positive life changes for thousands of participants”.
The duo run their meetings employing the classic Benny Hinn showmanship techniques that rely heavily on whipping up audiences into heightened levels of expectation, that invevitably results in spectacular swooning and claims of miraculous healings.
Krick received her apostle title from GeorDavie, who bestows such “five-fold ministry” titles on people who are groomed to submit to his unquestioned rule over his “spiritual kingdom”.
The “Revival Is Now” conferences are globally organised by Krick’s personal ministry, Five-Fold Church (5F Church), based in Los Angeles. The Sydney Flourish conference in 2025 was hosted by Kings Ministries, a Gold Coast based church, at Hillsong’s northeastern Sydney conference centre. Hillsong did not affiliate with the event.
Last July Krick pushed back against renewed cult accusations after viral videos from her Texas book signing showed attendees shaking, collapsing, and displaying intense emotional or physical reactions as they approached her.
Prominent church watchers Mike Winger, Julie Roy, Chris Rosebrough and others have sounded the alarm over the nature of her ministry under the Tanzanian “prophet”.
Mrs Roys interviewed several of the American women who were subjected to unwanted advances by GeorDavie after they travelled to Tanzania.at the invitation of Krick. They accused him of being a predator who uses religion to groom, manipulate and sexually abuse them. The women are interviewed from the 4min.50 mark.
Various reports and investigative breakdowns published in August this year highlighted past incidents from as far back as 2018, when Krick was informed by church members about the sexual assault allegations.
Krick reportedly dismissed the accusers, defended GeorDavie, and allegedly tried to physically block members from leaving the organisation.
When Mrs Roys confronted Krick at a Texas book signing, Krick refused to answer questions and had her security details escort her out.
