Maycee Crofts was not a UVU student volunteer swept up in somebody else’s event. She was a Turning Point USA staffer who entered the planning record at the exact point the organization kept Charlie Kirk outside.
UVU’s 158-page independent after-action report identifies Crofts as a TPUSA Senior Field Representative who joined the Aug. 25 Major Events Assessment Committee meeting online.
The report says UVU staff raised concerns about the outdoor Fountain Courtyard and TPUSA’s ticketing system. TPUSA nevertheless preferred the courtyard and its own ticketing — choices the review says left the event in a harder-to-control space and denied UVU reliable, real-time crowd data.

The review says UVU participants suggested an alternative location with more controllable access. The event went forward in the Fountain Courtyard as TPUSA requested.
National Review reported that Crofts insisted the event remain outside, citing Kirk’s prior appearances there.
Crofts’ LinkedIn profile lists her as a TPUSA Senior Field Representative since August 2020. Her X profile calls her the organization’s “Strategic Specialist of Tours and Personnel.” Her posts are now protected.
Her own Facebook post says she attended TPUSA’s Young Women’s Leadership Summit in 2019, decided she “HAD” to work for the organization, and started the following year.
Six years later, TPUSA Events put her onstage to lead a Pilates class at its women’s summit.
Crofts’ connection to Kirk was direct. In a Sept. 11 Facebook post, she wrote:

The independent reviewers for UVU said they made repeated attempts to obtain Crofts’ account of the Aug. 25 planning meeting. The report says she did not return calls or voicemails, and TPUSA’s Phoenix office did not respond to efforts to connect the team with her.

The public question now is not whether Crofts held a minor title. It is who directed the national field representative to secure that venue, on that date, and hold it after UVU raised the alarms.
Apple Podcasts also lists Crofts as the creator and host of I Don’t Care, Anyway, a 2026 show with 18 episodes. But her role in the UVU record deserves more than a lifestyle bio.
